Meet Our Owner, Melody Robinson
I am an Early Childhood Educator with 40 years of experience teaching and supporting children and families in my community.
My life's mission has been to provide quality childcare and supportive resources to all families.
It is important to me that each child and family feel supported, valued, and seen in our society as they raise their children to be successful in life.
It’s important that they know Parent’s Helper Home Daycare chooses to be a vital part of that village of love and support.
About Our Program
Welcome to Parent’s Helper Nature-Based Childcare!
We are a home-based, nature-focused child care program located in Oak Park, Illinois. We serve diverse families with children who are 6 weeks to 12 years old.
Our home-based program allows for more one-on-one personal care and attention in a smaller family-style setting. We offer delicious home-cooked meals for breakfast, lunch, and two snacks.
Our outdoor Nature Explorer Certified learning environment offers many opportunities for children in our care to explore the beautiful, natural world around us!
Our program takes field trips and hosts family events, fostering a deeper connection to learning. We also practice school readiness skills and provide plenty of time to just be a kid.
We are committed to creating a fun, peaceful, and loving environment where the skills of every learner are enhanced with the help of our dedicated and knowledgeable teachers.
We aim to develop each child’s social, emotional, physical, mental, and intellectual development through play and discovery.
Parent’s Helper Daycare is proud to be a child-led, play-based, Nature Explore Certified learning environment. We respect the curiosity of children and the things that spark their interest. This is when learning has its greatest impact, and our staff has the privilege of gently guiding and supporting their interest in learning.
